EU‑DREAM Receives Top Marks in First Horizon Europe Project Review

EU‑DREAM has received the highest possible overall assessment in its first periodic project review, covering 1 July 2024 to 31 August 2025. Reviewers confirmed the project has fully achieved its objectives and milestones for the period, and that overall progress is aligned with the Description of Action, with all objectives on track.

Delivering on time—and at high quality

The review notes that all four milestones scheduled in the first reporting period were achieved on time. It also confirms that deliverables planned for this period across WP1, WP2, WP8, and WP9 were submitted on schedule, and that the quality of the deliverables is very good.

Standout progress across the project’s core pillars

Reviewers highlighted strong technical and scientific momentum during the reporting period, including:

  • A large‑scale end‑user survey (1,000+ respondents) capturing insights on appliance controllability, barriers, and willingness to pay—informing system design and Living Lab planning.
  • A growing foundation of Digital Twin models and core infrastructure, alongside early architectures for an AI‑based assistant and NLP intermediator to support intuitive energy interaction.
  • Significant progress on secure, interoperable data‑sharing capabilities and early platform prototypes, supporting scalable integration across the EU‑DREAM ecosystem.
  • Strong dissemination activity through the project’s communications channels, including the project website and stakeholder‑facing outreach.

Strong coordination and consortium engagement

The review concludes that EU‑DREAM has been efficiently and effectively managed in terms of milestones, deliverables, and risk. It also recognises active coordination and consistent engagement across partners, with no evidence of underperformance, lack of commitment, or reduced interest from any beneficiary during implementation.
